Meet Our Amazing Staff at Palmyra Christian Academy!

We have a highly-trained team of committed, experienced educators to guide and direct your student in both academics and character development. We love Christ and we love kids! It’s our privilege to be entrusted with your precious children.

Amanda Crumrine, administrator

Mrs. Crumrine is married to David and they have three (3) children. As a family, they love camping, cats and Cub Scouts. Mrs. Crumrine has a Master’s Degree in Education. Her past experience includes teaching in the Quincy Public School District, serving as the Adams County Health Educator, and serving as the Madison Park Church early childhood director. Mrs. Crumrine is a member of the 2024 American Federation for Children School Leaders Cohort.

Mrs. Wittler, 4 year old preschool teacher

Mrs. Wittler lives in Quincy, IL. She has her bachelor’s degree in elementary education. Mrs. Wittler loves the preschool age group of children and is excited to start teaching at PCA January 5, when classes resume for 2nd semester.

Miss Logan Orr, 3 year old preschool teacher

Miss Logan Orr has experience working with early childhood children at her church and in the community. Miss Orr brings her artistic nature and enthusiasm for life into the classroom, inspiring our youngest students to grow and develop with a curiosity for life.

Mrs. Church lives in Liberty, IL. She is married to Dennis, has two sons and two grandsons! She also raises chickens. With over 27 years of experience teaching experience, we are excited to have Mrs. Church on our teaching team.

Miss Alicia Weir, 2nd-3rd grade teacher

Miss Weir has a nurturing spirit and brings a passion for learning to her classroom, along with a heart for missions. Miss Weir lives in Palmyra and is the proud mom to her son, Laydin.

Mrs. Smith, 4th grade teacher

Mrs. Smith earned her undergraduate degree at Pensacola Christian College, the headquarters for the Abeka Curriculum! Mrs. Smith brings organization and structure to her 4th grade classroom. Mrs. Smith and her husband have 6 children and live in Lewistown, MO.

Mrs. miller, 5th grade teacher

Mrs. Miller has a vast array of educational experience, working with kids of all age groups and in a variety of different schools. Mrs. Miller differentiates instruction to a wide range of learning styles, and does it with enthusiasm! Mrs. Miller and her husband Tom have 6 children and live in Camp Point, IL.

Beth Massey, 6th-8th master academy supervisor

My husband, Josh, and I have been married for 8 years. We share 2 kids Klementine, age 7, and Joshua, age 4, whom are both enrolled at PCA. We also have a wise old golden retriever named Posey and a cat named Buzz Lightyear.  We attend Calvary Baptist Church in Hannibal.  We love to travel as a family and plan vacations several years in advance. Prior to getting married, I worked at Hannibal-LaGrange University as the Registrar and worked extensively with the online and distance learning programs as well as many other higher education responsibilities. I hold a Master’s degree in Business Administration. 

Mrs.krista Townsend, 3 year old preschool classroom aide and tutor

Mrs. Townsend and her husband John have been married for 14 years. They live in Hannibal, MO, with their three boys Henry, Carter, and Micah. Mrs. Townsend has also been an active volunteer leader in the local MOPs (Mothers of Preschoolers) group and a volunteer with Operation Christmas Child for many years.

Mrs. Danica Porter, Cafeteria Supervisor and after school childcare coordinator

Mrs. Porter and her husband Jordan have three children: Hadlea, Haydan, and Holden. Mrs. Porter coordinates all the kitchen operations, as well as our after school program.

Miss Emily Hill, Before School PRogram supervisor

Miss Hill is currently a graduate student at Hannibal LaGrange University in Hannibal, MO. As the before school program supervisor, Miss Hill is the first face that many students see when they arrive at school for the day, which is a very important role. Miss Hill also is a substitute teacher and does a great job at jumping in wherever she is needed.
